Lone Star College Cy-Fair to hold funk music evening
A free funk music event is set for 6:30-9p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9 at Lone Star College Cy-Fair's Main Stage Theatre.
It will feature a performance from the Kashmere Reunion Stage Band, and a showing of the documentary Thunder Soul, which tells the story of the band’s origins.
The Kashmere Stage Band reached popularity playing funk music during the 1970s throughout Texas and the United States.
Funding for the event is provided by the Harris County Public Library.
The Lone Star College Cy-Fair Main Stage Theatre is located at 9191 Barker Cypress Road in Cypress.
