Cypress physicians named in wrongful death suit
A woman is suing Cypress physicians after, she says, they overlooked her husband's life-threatening condition.
Tracy Windrum, individually and on behalf of the estate of her deceased husband Lancer Windrum, filed a wrongful death lawsuit on Feb. 3 in Harris County District Court against Cypress physicians Victor Kareh and Harpaul Gill, as well as North Cypress Medical Center.
Beginning in 2009, Mr. Windrum sought help from the defendants for headaches, but they misdiagnosed the cause as stress or sinuous, overlooking a blockage in his brain, according to the brief.
The suit alleges a routine shunt procedure would have prevented Mr. Windrum's untimely death.
Mrs. Windrum is seeking damages and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Wade Whilden, Jr.
