Cy Springs grad scores in FGCU win
Nicoya Jackson, a graduate of Cy Springs High School, scored nine points for Florida Gulf Coast University in a 97-54 thrashing of Lipscomb Thursday night. She added six assists and a rebound.
The 5-foot-6 senior guard lettered all four years at Cy Springs. She was twice named first team all-district, all-region and all-conference.
After high school, Jackson played two seasons at Southwestern Christian College. During her sophomore season (2008-2010), she averaged 20.1 points per game.
A criminal justice major, she is the daughter of Tracey Jackson.
