Cy-Fair ISD finalist for award
Cy-Fair Independent School District has been named a finalist for H-E-B's Excellence in Education Awards program.
Cy-Fair joins the Corpus Christi, Edinburg, Kerrville and Mesquite school districts in the large district category. Each finalist will receive a $5,000 check.
To determine a winner, a panel of judges is visiting each district, where they will walk around school campus and visit with employees and parents. The visits started on Feb. 8 and end on Feb. 24.
The winner will be announced at the InterContinental Hotel in Houston on May 6. The large district winner will receive $100,000, and the small district winner will receive $50,000.
