Lone Star College-CyFair to hold free L.I.F.E. workshops
Lone Star College-CyFair will offer free Learning, Inspiration, Fellowship and Enrichment workshops from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesdays in the library, room 131, 9191 Barker in Cypress.
There will be no workshop on March 14 because of spring break.
There will be a Square Foot Gardening workshop on March 7. Denise Miller, garden educator, will teach attendees how to create a small raised-bed area enriched with compost and care.
There will be a Genealogy Virtual Vacation workshop on March 21. Library Director Mick Stafford will reveal which websites and databases provide address information and how to use that information to unlock a virtual vacation using Google map technology and a few other websites.
There will be an eReader Rodeo and Roundup workshop on March 28. Dorrie Scott, Abraham Korah and Melanie Wachsmann will give a presentation on the latest array of digital readers and tablets, including Kindle Touch, Kindle Fire, NOOK Color, NOOK Tablet and the iPad 2.
