Reed principal to be first prinicpal of Rennell

From a Cy-Fair ISD press release:
Leslie Thomas, the principal at Reed Elementary School, has been named the new principal at Rennell Elementary School (No. 52), which will open in the 2010-2011 school year.
Thomas has a total of 30 years in the education profession. Prior to coming to CFISD, she served as an elementary teacher, assistant principal and principal in Lewisville ISD. She has served as the principal at Reed for eight years.
Thomas received her Bachelor of Science in elementary education from Texas Tech University and her Master of Education in Administration from the University of North Texas. She holds certifications in Elementary Self-Contained, Elementary Reading and Mid-Management Administration.
I am honored to be the new principal at Betty Cody Rennell Elementary. It is such a privilege to be a part of the opening of a new campus, especially one that bears the name of a dear friend and respected educator," Thomas said.
Betty was one of the first people I met when I moved to Cy-Fair. Her kind and generous spirit, along with her commitment to excellence, will be an inspiration to me and the staff of Rennell as we begin the new school year. I look forward to working with the parents and children in the community to create a school that exemplifies the high standards and quality education Cy-Fair has come to expect."
Rennell Elementary School is located at 19500 Tuckerton Blvd. in Cypress. Using funds from the 2007 Bond, the school was designed by Bay Architects and constructed by Purcell Construction, Inc., and is scheduled to be completed in July 2010.
