TMEA honors music students
Forty-four students from the Cypress-Fairbanks ISD have been selected to Texas Music Educators Association all-state organizations after performing in the TMEA 2012 Clinic and Convention held on Feb. 8-11 in San Antonio.
According to the press release, students were selected to All-Region, All-Area and All-State band, choir and orchestra.
“Less than one percent of the students entered achieve this award, the highest accomplishment a music student may achieve in Texas,” said Larry Matysiak, CFISD director of secondary music, in a press release. “Being selected opens up many scholarship opportunities for these students.”
