Lone Star Corporate College to offer petroleum industry certification

Lone Star Corporate College will offer "Fundamentals of the Petroleum Industry" certification seminars from March 19 to April 30.

This three-part, six-week series will take place online, with accompanying classroom instruction at Lone Star College's University Park campus, located at 20515 state Highway 249, in Houston.

Students of the course will learn the background and history of the petroleum industry, including oil and gas production activities and the formation, exploration and production of hydrocarbon deposits. Participants completing all three sessions will receive drilling industry training certification from the International Association of Drilling Contractors.

The program is offered through a partnership with Houston-based PetroEd, a technical oil and natural gas industry training organization.
