Two Cypress Creek High School sophomores, Christan Kimball and Caro Archer, earned the highest National Forensic League degree, Premier Distinction, after leading the NFL in points with 1,632 and 1,562, respectively.

Achar also qualified, along with junior Lauryn Wasicek, for the Texas Forensics Association state tournament in original oratory, domestic extemporaneous and public forum debate.

“It's rare to have students reach Premier Distinction prior to their senior year and to have two sophomores accomplish this goal,” said debate coach Scott Baker in a press release. “It showcases the real talent on the Cy Creek campus.”

In the past two years, Achar and Kimball have won 37 combined individual awards, 20 and 17 respectively, and Cypress Creek has a district-leading 19 TFA state qualifications.
