Friendswood ISD communications department receives 10 awards
The communications department at Friendswood Independent School District has been honored with 10 awards — two Best of Category Gold Medals, four Gold Stars and four Silver Stars awards — by the Texas School Public Relations Association for excellence in school communications at a conference in Austin on Feb. 14.
The Friendswood ISD Education Foundation won Best of Category for the Mustang Association Membership Drive Image Identity Package for less than 10,000 students, and Invitations/Announcements with the "Holiday Dinner with the School Board" invitation, according to a press release.
Gold Star awards were given for the Distinguished Alumni recognition booklet, the Mustang Association Drive Image Identity package, "Holiday Dinner with the School Board" invitation and Mustang Association poster. Silver Star Awards were presented for FISD's Character Education booklet, Friendswood ISD Education Foundation Charity of Choice Brochure, "Give Thanks!" holiday announcement, Havana Blues Invitation, and invitation for "Lunch with the Galveston County Superintendents," according to a press release.
Communications Director Karolyn Gephart was at the event to receive accept the awards presented to the FISD.
