Methodist Willowbrook Hospital gets Panasonic CardioHealth Stations
Panasonic Healthcare Group and CardioNexus Corp. will outfit Houston’s Methodist Willowbrook Hospital with Panasonic CardioHealth Stations to improve early heart disease detection.
Panasonic's CardioHealth Station assists medical professionals in making a quick assessment of cardiovascular health. It has a built-in portable ultrasound system to perform non-invasive examinations of peripheral vessels. It measures peripheral arteries such as the common carotid and searches for arterial plaques.
"With the addition of the Panasonic CardioHealth Station, our campus has become the first hospital in Houston to implement this
revolutionary medical technology," said Beryl Ramsey, CEO of Methodist Willowbrook Hospital, in a press release. "The CardioHealth Station and its automated features will empower our physicians to better assess our patients’ cardiovascular risk at an early stage."
