Student wins Texas award and readies to compete internationally
Lone Star College DECA team member Alenia Cartagena won National Case Study Individual Events at the 45th annual Texas Collegiate DECA conference and will head with the team to Salt Lake City in April to compete at the international conference.
Lone Star College at CyFair's Collegiate DECA team member Alenia Cartagena won National Case Study Individual Events at the 45th annual Texas Collegiate DECA conference.
Cartagena also scored highest among participants across all events.
Collegiate DECA is a student organization that focuses on preparing students to succeed in their future careers by stressing competence, innovation, integrity and teamwork through internships, scholarships, competitions and professional networking.
The Collegiate DECA Career Development Conference took place in Austin. The Lone Star College team heads next to Salt Lake City to compete in the international conference in April.
