Lone Star Corporate College to present second seminar on understanding energy
Lone Star Corporate College will host a seminar titled “Understanding Energy: Electricity, Nuclear and Alternatives” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, March 23 at the Lone Star Community Building, 5000 Research Forest Drive in The Woodlands.
According to a press release, the seminar will be nontechnical and is designed for people interested in learning about the energy industry. It will cover how energy production in the United States compares to other countries and how the United States plans to sustain its energy production, according to a press release.
Karen Oganowski will host the seminar. She worked for General Electric for 25 years, first in the aircraft engines supply chain and then for GE Energy, where she negotiated contracts in Europe and Japan for power generation and gas transmission gas turbines, according to a press release. She has also served as a consultant with major oil companies.
Admission costs $10 and includes lunch. Registration is required.
