Dress donations to benefit teens in need
Lone Star College-CyFair will hold the eighth annual Prom Closet, a prom dress giveaway designed for teens on a budget, and is accepting donations.
According to the press release, Elise Sheppard, LSC-CyFair teen librarian and organizer of the Prom Closet, stated: "With LSC-CyFair's upcoming eighth annual Prom Closet, we will be serving young women from more than 13 school districts in metro Houston. Thanks to so many generous donors each year, we are helping hundreds of young women attend their prom, military awards banquet, musical performances and other special occasions with smiles and confidence."
To donate, dresses should be in spotless condition with no damage and up to date. Sizes 0-30 are needed, and accessories are also accepted. Donations will be received at 9191 Barker Cypress at the LSC-CyFair Branch Library's circulation desk during regular library hours. Donations can also be placed in a plastic bag and dropped off at Harris County Public Library.
For further information, contact Elise Sheppard by phone at 281-290-5248 or email elise.j.sheppard@lonestar.edu.
