Cobia named as head coach at Cypress Springs

Rick Cobia has been named the new campus athletic coordinator and head coach for Cypress Springs High School and is replacing Roland Gonzalez, who left CSHS for Victoria East High School in January.

Cobia was the former athletic director and head coach at Taylor High School and served at Caldwell High School, Langham Creek High School and Cypress Falls High School in the years prior. He is also a member of the Texas High School Athletic Directors Association, the Texas High School Coaches Association, the Greater Houston Coaches Association and the Association of Texas Professional Educators.
