Lone Star College-CyFair to hold job fair for summer Discovery College instructors

Lone Star College-CyFair will hold a job fair from 9 a.m. to noon April 14 for those interested in teaching courses in the summer youth program, Discovery College.

Discovery College offers courses with the theme "Learning is Fun" to students ages 9-17.

The program runs from June 4 through Aug. 2, with half-day sessions meeting from 8 a.m. to noon and 1-5 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Instructors receive a salary of $26 per contact hour.

According to the press release, Kenya White, director of continuing education, stated, "Our totally revamped Discovery College summer youth program needs highly qualified, engaging and innovative instructors to teach courses in science, technology, engineering, math and the arts."

The job fair takes place in room 153 of the LSC-CyFair Conference Center, 9191 Barker, Cypress.
