Lone Star College-CyFair scholarship show rescheduled for April 20-21
The Lone Star College-CyFair scholarship fundraising show was rescheduled for late April, a press release announced last week.
The play "Angry Young Women in Low-Rise Jeans with High-Class Issues" was written by Matt Morillo and will be performed by Lone Star College's Performance Troupe.
The group decided to reschedule the performance for the weekend of April 20-21 to allow the playwright to attend the performances and host a talk-back session.
Morillo's play is a comedy centered on issues confronting contemporary young women. It is performed in five separate segments, including moments that resemble television situation comedies, standup comedy and sketch comedy.
Performances are 7:30 p.m. on both days in the Black Box Theatre at the college's Center for the Arts, 9191 Baker Cypress Road, Cypress.
Tickets are $5 each or $3 each for groups of three or more, and proceeds from ticket sales go toward scholarship fundraising. Patrons may purchase tickets in advance at the Technology Building, Suite 123 on the Lone Star campus.
Readers may also reserve tickets and request more information by writing firstname.lastname@example.org.
