Lone Star College-CyFair Discovery College begins summer youth program registration April 14
Registration for the Lone Star College-CyFair "Learning is Fun" Discovery College summer youth program will begin Saturday, April 14 and continue through the month.
The Discovery College program is offered as half-day sessions from 8 a.m. to noon and 1-5 p.m. for students ages 9-17 and will run Monday through Thursday from June 4 to Aug. 2.
"We have totally revamped our Discovery College summer youth program. The sessions are fun and educational, providing children an opportunity to develop skills and learn new ones in a friendly environment," said Kenya White, director of Continuing Education, in a press release. "In addition to academic courses such as science, technology, engineering, math and the arts, we offer robotics, project runway, top model, AutoCAD, math genius and extreme songwriting, just to name a few."
Early-bird registration opens at 9 a.m. April 14 and will continue until noon in the conference center. Regular registration begins Monday, April 16 in the Center for Academic and Student Affairs building or in the Continuing Education office. Each class is $89 and will be held at the Barker Cypress campus at 9191 Barker Cypress.
