Cy-Fair Rotary Club hosts brisket sale
The Rotary Club of Cypress-Fairbanks is holding a brisket sale to benefit Cypress Assistance Ministries’ New Mothers’ Fund.
Donations of $50 will receive a fully cooked brisket (about 7 pounds), which will be prepared, seasoned and smoked by cooks at Carl’s Bar-B-Que. A pint of barbecue sauce is included.
Briskets must be ordered by May 7 and can be picked up from 10 a.m. to noon on May 12 at Carl's Bar-B-Que, 21920, Highway 290 W. in Cypress. Arrangements for a different pickup time can be made for people who cannot pick up their brisket at that time.
According to a press release, Cypress Assistance Ministries’ New Mothers’ Fund helps new mothers with basic needs such as pre-natal vitamins, layette supplies, cribs and mattresses, over-the-counter infant medicine, infant car seats and critical medical assistance.
"We are proud to partner with Carl’s Bar-B-Que to support such a worthy community initiative," Ray Young, Rotary project director, said in a press release. “The community can order briskets for themselves or designate a local charitable organization such as Boys and Girls Country, Cypress Assistance Ministries, or the Northwest Houston Salvation Army as a recipient.”
Order forms are available by contacting young at dry@waterengineers.com or 713-582-7564.
