Friendswood ISD to destroy records of special-ed kids

Confidential records of former special-education students who attended the Friendswood Independent School District between 2004-2005 will be destroyed.

The records are no longer needed for educational purposes, but parents, adult students or former students may request a copy to use when applying for Social Security benefits and other purposes. Applications must be received in writing by May 31.

Requests must be sent to Friendswood ISD, Department of Special Education, 402 Laurel Drive, Friendswood, TX 77546. Included must be the student's full name and date of birth, as well as the last known year of attendance.
