LSC-CyFair radiology students win big at state conference

Lone Star College-CyFair medical radiology students won two first-place awards at the annual Texas Society of Radiologic Technologists conference at LSC-Montgomery March 9.

Dan Macavei took first place in the Student Leadership division, and Jennifer Perritt, Myrna Garcia, Debbie Vaglienty and Van Nguyen won first place in the Scientific Display Competition for their entry, titled "Safer Portable X-Ray Units."

"We are extremely proud of these students' success and representing Lone Star College-CyFair in such an exemplary manner," said Cynthia Robertson, director
of Radiologic Technology.

The Radiology Student Association connects radiology program students to the community, educating members about innovations and informing the public about radiation safety and health issues.
