Girl party shop Duchess and Divas opens in Cypress

The new location of girl party boutique Duchess and Divas opened March 10 in Cypress, offering dress-up-style parties for girls as well as camps, showers and special events.

Owners Kellie Girouard and Shantell Legaspi opened the new location to provide a party boutique in the only part of town where it wasn't previously available. Several party themes are available to choose from, including rock star, pajama and spa parties.

"Wanting a creative outlet, I decided to join my business partner in our new endeavor that combines our love for working with children and the Southern art of entertaining," said Girouard, a New Orleans native.

"After hosting a similar-type party for my daughter and seeing how much my guests enjoyed the concept, I realized that I wanted to pursue this venture with someone with the same desire to entertain," Legaspi said.
