Young actress believes in helping feed the hungry
Of the changes Morgan Montgomery would like to see, she believes awareness of world concerns should be raised.
“We’ve been learning about children in Africa,” she said. “We learned that most of them really need to be fed. I think it is something we Americans need to be aware of. I think we should raise money to help get food and clothing and basically the supplies that they need right now. They do have organizations, but I really think that we need more of those.”

Accomplishments: Played Thing One in “Suessical the Musical,” is on the Honor Roll, member of school choir, and participated in a Girl Scout run fundraiser to raise money for dogs in the military.
Favorite class: “Math because, well, at first I really honestly did not do well in math. Then I took tutoring and now math comes easy to me.”
Favorite things to do after class: “I love to do theater. It’s really fun. I do Girl Scouts. And, I like whenever I’m alone - I really like to draw and do lots of art.”
Favorite book: “ ‘The Hunger Games.’ It’s a very exciting novel. It has everything you need in a book. It has drama, romance, everything.”
Favorite music genre: “I like pop music.”
Favorite TV show: “ ‘Modern Family’ because it’s really funny. It’s one of the funniest sitcoms I’ve ever seen.”

Favorite movie: “ ‘The Hunger Games,’ because of the same reasons I liked the book. The movie follows the book very well. It was very well done.”
Ambition: “When I’m older I really plan to be an actress, if it’s stage, TV or movies.” This summer Morgan plans to try out for the Humphreys School for Theatre Under the Stars. She said that it is a personal goal to appear in one of their shows downtown.
