Cy Falls HS grad Jake Wise and Arkansas drop one to Florida
Cy Falls high school graduate Jake Wise played well, but Florida defeated Arkansas, 3-2, Friday on the college diamond.
Wise went 2-for-3, with a run scored in the loss for Arkansas.
Wise was a three-year letter winner at Cy Falls High School, graduating in 2010.
As a senior, 2009-2010, he batted .504 with 11 home runs and 52 RBIs to earn first-team all-district and all-greater Houston honors. During his junior year, 2008-2009, Wise hit .403 with seven home runs and 25 RBIs.
He was named to the all-district team and selected as hitter of the week by Houston 5A Baseball. After his sophomore campaign, 2007-2008, Wise earned honorable mention all-district recognition, and as a freshman, 2006-2007, he helped the Cy-Falls junior varsity team to an undefeated season.
An economics major at Arkansas, he is the son of Doug and Lois Wise.
