Cy Falls Key Club members pile up awards at convention
The Cypress Falls Key Club traveled to Dallas recently to attend the Texas-Oklahoma District Convention, where it earned many honors for the club's performance.
The club submitted monthly reports on its performance, where it was ranked fifth for the entire Texas-Oklahoma district. Roshni Chandwani, former vice president and future president, won third in original oratory, and the club's website won a Distinguished Website Patch. The club also won first place and a patch for the District Project, the Governor's Project Patch and UNICEF's ELIMINATE Patch.
Two of the club's officers will serve in district positions during the upcoming school year. Carolina Hernandez will serve as the 3N lieutenant governor, and Kevin Duong was elected as the Texas-Oklahoma district secretary of Key Club International.
"I am so proud of all of our clubs," said the organization's sponsor, Kathie Kiklas. "Although we all compete against each other, we cheer each on knowing how much it takes to make the top 25. Congratulations to each and every Key Clubber."
