Cypress Ranch senior earns scholarship from USC
Weston C. Grove, a Cypress Ranch High School senior, was awarded the University of South Carolina’s McNair Scholarship, named after Houston Texans owner Robert McNair.
A Cypress Ranch High School senior was awarded a scholarship from the University of South Carolina, named after Houston Texans owner Robert McNair.
Weston C. Grove was one of 20 students awarded the McNair Scholarship. He was awarded the scholarship because of his academic achievements, leadership roles, extracurricular activities, essays and interviews, according to a news release.
Grove is ranked ninth in his class and has been recognized as a National Merit Scholar. He is also class vice president and a three-year starter on the Mustang varsity soccer team.
Grove plans to study biomedical engineering.
