Driver sought in Tomball Parkway fatal hit-and-run
The Houston Police Department is seeking information on a hit-and-run accident that took place at 17300 Tomball Parkway (Highway 249) about 4:55 a.m. on Sunday, May 27.
The HPD has reported that the male victim, 30, who was critically injured in that accident has died.
The identity of the victim from Houston has been withheld pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. The victim was pronounced dead on Monday at Ben Taub General Hospital.
The victim was walking on the right shoulder of the southbound lanes of Highway 249, near Willowbrook Mall, when he was struck by an unknown vehicle that failed to stay in its lane. The driver failed to stop and render aid to the victim, according to the police report.
