Cypress Walmart named in slip-and-fall suit
Wal-Mart is being sued over claims it failed to provide customers a safe shopping experience at its Cypress location.
Clemencia Ledesma filed a lawsuit on Friday, May 25 in the Harris County District Court against Wal-Mart Stores, citing negligence.
Ledesma says on June 23, 2011, she sustained serious injuries while shopping with her granddaughter at Walmart, located in the 26200 block of Northwest Freeway in Cypress. According to the brief, she slipped and fell on water that had been carelessly allowed to pool on the floor.
Ledesma is seeking damages and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Andre Ligon.
