Corrugated Concepts and Packaging earns environment award

Houston-based Corrugated Concepts and Packaging earned an Environmental Stewardship Award from Orion Energy Systems for a lighting retrofit at its facility.

Orion Energy Systems was contracted to complete the retrofit. Orion replaced 300 high-intensity light bulbs in the Corrugated Concepts facility with 254 Orion fluorescent fixtures. The new lighting is projected to save Corrugated Concepts and Packaging approximately $9,000 a year in electricity expenses.

"We had a real lighting problem in our facility," said co-owner and CEO of Corrugated Concepts and Packaging Dennis Hoffman, according to a press release. "These new lights are fantastic."

Orion Energy Systems provides energy management solutions such as high-performance and sustainable lighting systems to commercial and industrial clients.
