Lone Star College graduate proves you're never too old to learn

After eight years, 83-year-old Peggy Wills participated in Lone Star College-Cy-Fair's 2012 commencement ceremony.
Wills asked her instructor David Potts to escort her across the stage so she wouldn't trip. She received a standing ovation when she received her associate of arts in visual communications and
video and post production degree.
Wills attended college in Rome, Ga., when she was young but dropped out when she was married and started a family. When her husband passed away, she met Potts at a fundraiser he was videotaping. Potts is a professor of TV and motion graphics. Potts invited her to tour his department and encouraged her to sign up for one of his classes.
Wills plans to pursue a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Houston and a career in television production.
"I would tell everyone to follow your dream," Wills said when asked if she had advice for anyone considering going back to school. "It's never too late. If you want to go to college, for heaven's sake, do it!"
