Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union awards scholarships to seven graduating students

Cy-Fair Federal Credit Union recently awarded seven graduating students with scholarships to help them pursue higher education.

The scholarship winners were Lynsey Patterson, Abigail Miranda, Alexandra Pretto, Citlalli Alvarez, Halie Schmitt, Caitlynn Morris and Katherine Castaño.

Six of these students received $1,000, and one earned the $2,000 Pattie R. Miller Scholarship.

Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, community involvement, financial need and leadership.

The Cy-Fair FCU scholarship program has awarded more than $73,000 to area students since it started 11 years ago.
