Cy Creek YMCA offering youth leadership camps
Children ages 11 to 15 who are interested in leadership are invited to Cy Creek YMCA’s Leaders in Training camp.
This summer camp program is designed to help youths build leadership skills. Campers participate in leadership development activities, team building, swimming and more. The camp creates highly motivated teen leaders within the Y who could serve the community and learn what it is to be a staff member at a Y. The goal throughout the program is not only to teach key leadership skills, but also for teens to work as a team. They will experience all departments within a Y, while helping to plan and lead activities.
Cost is $160 for facility members and $185 for program members. Times for the weeklong camps are 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Dates for the program can be found at the welcome center.
For more information, call 281-517-3720 or email christopher.butsch@ymcahouston.org. The Cy Creek YMCA is located at 19915 Texas 249, Houston.
