Chappell Hill Summer Cowboy Event set for July 4
The Chappell Hill Historical Society will hold its annual Summer Cowboy Event from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. July 4 at the Chappell Hill Museum.
The event will include a variety of cowboy-themed activities, such as the “Rocking T Chuck Wagon”, pony rides from EMC Farm, a petting zoo, “Cowboy Bob, The Fun Roper,” Roy Rogers TV shows, oxen demonstrations by Texas Recollections and cowboy stories.
Admission and activities are free and open to the public. Vendors will offer food and beverages.
The Chappell Hill Museum is also featuring the V.T. “Cowboy” Williams Jr. exhibit through July 29. The exhibit focuses on the history of local resident V.T. Williams Jr. and also features children’s activities such as knot tying, roping, horseshoe pitching, branding, cow-chip tossing and cowboy stories.
