Rotary club provides food, water for Haitians

Members of The Willowbrook Rotary Club purchased and packaged more than 1,500 pounds of food and water destined for the people of Haiti.
By joining with American Airlines and our established relationship with Pure Water for the World already on the ground in Haiti, we were able to mobilize quickly to provide relief to those devastated by the earthquake," said Randy Thompson of Willowbrook Rotary.
The Club's Rotary Youth Exchange students as well as LoneStar College scholarship winners helped members pack the 30 boxes.
Proceeds from Willowbrook Rotary's annual Monte Carlo Charity Gala funded the Haiti Food Project. The next gala is slated for Feb. 13 at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott. For more information, call 281-890-5800.
