Amegy Bank expands presence in Cypress area

Amegy Bank employees and members of the Cypress community celebrate the grand opening of the Lakewood branch with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Amegy Bank of Texas recently has opened a new banking center at 13060 Grant Road in Cypress.

There are now more than 80 Amegy Bank branches across Texas. The new location will help the company expand in the Cypress Area.

"We have been so fortunate to be a part of the Cypress community for several years now and are thrilled about our new Lakewood branch," said Amegy Bank Retail Area Manager Jennifer Pittman. "Our new location will allow us the opportunity to better serve the personal and business banking needs of our customers in the Cypress area."

A grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting event was held to support the charities REACH Unlimited and Liberty Path. Amegy Bank donated $750 to each charity to benefit young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. These donations will help provide therapeutic counseling for the teens.

"It means a lot to us that these organizations could be here to share our special day," said Lakewood Banking Center Manager Laura Proshard. "In addition to providing the highest quality in banking services, Amegy Bank has a long history of community involvement, and we look forward to expanding that commitment through the outreach of the Lakewood branch."
