Cypress Christian to host reading camp for eighth-graders
Cypress Christian School will host a summer reading camp for incoming eighth-graders from 1-4 p.m. July 23-26 at 11123 Cypress N. Houston Road, Houston.
Cost is $100.
Alison Ivey, a middle school language arts teacher, will teach the camp.
Students will work on vocabulary, word attack strategies, fluency skills and interacting with text. Participants will also review the historical context of a novel and outline writing responses to a novel.
