Cypress runners complete Polish Pickle 5K

Eighteen runners from Cypress completed the Polish Pickle 5K Run on June 23 in Bremond, according to a release.

The Cypress runners who participated in the race are Jonathan Croston, 19, (16:36); Heath Lyle, 36, (23:02); George Garcia, 42, (23:59); Mark Parisher, 13, (25:30); David Demny, 49, (26:48); Roger Parisher, 52, (27:34); Karen Kuhlmann, 46, (27:55); Denise Parisher, 45, (28:24); Tim Kuhlmann, 49, (29:59); Austin Demny, 22, (31:27); Jessica Demny, 20, (31:28); T.C. Lozano, 42, (32:46); Reagan Rucker, 15, (36:42); Sue Schuelke, 55, (38:17); Shawn Cureton, 37, (40:29); Sarah Lozano, 12, (43:35); Chase Parisher, 16, (46:39); and David Schuelke, 61, (48:35).

A total of 526 runners finished the 5K race, which started on Main Street in front of The Bremond Press.

Gustavo Roman Jr., of College Station, was the men's overall winner with a time of 16:23, while Hannah Steffan, of Austin, was the women's winner in 17:26.
