HFAC announces summer dance schedule

HFAC Actors Academy.

The Houston Family Arts Center has released its weekly summer dance schedule.

On Mondays there will be classes for the senior competition dance team from 4-5:30 p.m. and the junior competition dance team from 5:30-7 p.m. Participants for the teams will be chosen by audition.

Tuesday classes include Ballet 2 from 4:30-5:30 p.m., Jazz 2 from 5:30-6:30 p.m., Tap 2 from 6:30-7:30 p.m., Ballet 1 from 5:30-6:30 p.m., Musical Theater Dance for preschoolers to third-graders from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and Acro-Dance from 7:30-8:30 p.m.

On Thursdays there will be a conditioning class from 4:30-5:30 p.m., Ballet for Boys from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and Royal Academy of Dance class from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Friday classes will feature the Royal Academy of Dance class from 4:30-5:30 p.m., Jazz 1 from 5:30-6:30 p.m., Tap 1 from 6:30-7:30 p.m., Pointe from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and Partnering classes from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Saturday classes will include Preschool Ballet and Tap from 10-11 a.m., Ballet 1 from 11 a.m. to noon, Ballet 2 from noon to 1 p.m. and Pointe from 1-2 p.m.

Adult classes include Zumba from 10-11 a.m. Wednesdays and Adult Tap from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesdays.

The Houston Family Arts Center is located at 10760 Grant Road in Houston.
