Man suing Cy-Fair doctor after losing leg
A man is suing Cy-Fair doctor, alleging she and her facility provided inadequate care that caused him to lose his right leg.
Jordan Bennett filed a medical malpractice lawsuit June 21 in the Harris County District Court against Dr. Stacy Bacon and Cy-Fair Bone and Joint, which is doing business as Advanced Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine.
Bennett says he developed an aggressive infection after a reconstruction and fusion surgery on his right ankle March 11, 2010. According to the brief, Bennett claims Bacon failed to diagnose and treat Bennett for the infection, which he said resulted in the amputation of his right leg below the knee.
Bennett is seeking damages and court costs. He is being represented in the case by Houston attorney William Ferebee.
