LSC to offer Oracle database workshop

In partnership with the University of Houston, Lone Star College will offer an Oracle database workshop from 6-10 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays from July 23 to Aug. 23 at LSC–University Park.

The program, geared toward database administrators, Java developers, support engineers and technical administrators and consultants, will help attendees prepare for the Oracle certified associate exam.

Participants will learn how to install and maintain an Oracle database, gain a conceptual understanding of the Oracle database architecture, create an operational database and properly manage the various structures in an effective and efficient manner, including performance monitoring, database security, user management and recovery techniques.

A total of 40 hours will be spent in this program.

The cost is $1,050. The University Park campus is located at 20515 Texas 249, Houston.
