Houston Family Arts Center production opens July 13
The Houston Family Arts Center will present the musical Guys and Dolls on weekends starting Friday, July 13 and continuing through July 29.
Based on Damon Runyon's stories of a mythical New York City, the romantic comedy features classic songs, including "A Bushel and a Peck," "Adelaide's Lament," "If I Were a Bell" and "Luck Be a Lady."
According to a press release, the musical won five Tony awards in 1951, including Best Musical, then received international attention when the 1955 MGM motion picture featuring Marlon Brando, Jean Simmons and Frank Sinatra was released.
