Flood warning issued for Cypress and Mayde creeks
A flood warning issued at 8:45 a.m. Thursday, July 12 for Cypress and Mayde creeks is still in effect.
Cypress Creek at Grant Road and additional creeks and bayous in the northwest portions of the county are expected to flow out of bank.
South Mayde Creek will flow out of its banks at Greenhouse Road. Minor flooding will impact roads near Greenshouse, including Saums, Groeschke and Barker Cypress.
No homes are currently threatened by the flooding.
Upper Spring Creek is expected to reach the top of its banks at Hegar Road and possibly make the south approach to the bridge impassable.
Updates will be issued as needed by the Harris County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, which is monitoring the situation.
