Police release surveillance video of July 13 armed robbery

Surveillance video captured the Friday, July 13, armed robbery of a local check-cashing business.

Police say at 12:10 p.m. July 13, two suspects, one armed with a gun, entered EZ Check, located at 14121 Northwest Freeway, and demanded cash.

While one suspect emptied the store safe, the other tied up an employee and took her purse, according to a Houston Police Department news release. The men reportedly escaped through the back of the store.

The robbers are described as Hispanic. They wore camouflage ski masks and matching green jumpsuits, according to the release.
