Harris County Police investigate motorcycle crash

Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff's Office are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred in the 16300 block of Huffsmith Kohrville Road, according to a report released on July 13.

According to the report, deputies were dispatched to the scene of a major motorcycle accident in the 16300 block of Huffsmith Kohrville Road on Friday, July 13, at approximately 2:20 a.m.

The investigation revealed that Brandon Mitchell Maynard was speeding while operating a black 2005 Harley-Davidson motorcycle traveling southbound on Huffsmith Kohrville Road, striking the raised concrete curb and losing control of the motorcycle and falling to the roadway, according to the report.

Maynard sustained life-threatening injuries due to the accident and was found to have no signs of life by emergency medical personnel at the scene, according to the report.

At this time, the crash remains under investigation by the Traffic Enforcement Section of the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
