Cy Creek HS grad Paul Janish makes two great plays in Atlanta loss
Paul Janish, a 2001 graduate of Cypress Creek High School, had one of the few hits off Giants starter Ryan Vogelsong on Wednesday but the Atlanta Braves fell to San Francisco 9-4 in Major League Baseball action.
Janish made two spectacular plays in the field, saving the team even further embarrassmentat the hands of the Giants offense. Since coming to Atlanta in a trade last week, Janish has provided steady defense at short for the team.
After a stellar career at Cy Creek, Janish played college baseball at Rice University for three seasons. He was drafted in the fifth round (138 th overall) of the 2004 Major League Baseball drafted by Cincinnati. He spent parts of five seasons in the Reds organization before making his Major League debut on May 14, 2008.
