Annual golf tournament to take place Sept. 24
The 2011 third place winners of the FORE Cy-Fair Golf Tournament were Keith Grothaus, Stuart Snow, Roy Sprague and Dr. Mark Henry.
A number of sponsorship opportunities are available for this year's annual FORE Cy-Fair Golf Tournament.
The event, hosted by the Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce, is set for 11:30 a.m. Sept. 24 at the Longwood Golf Club, located at 13300 Longwood Trace Drive, in Cypress.
During the tournament, area businesses will be able to network with those in the Cy-Fair community.
Registration for the tournament begins at 9:30 a.m. that day. Following the tournament, an awards dinner and raffle is scheduled for 5 p.m. Raffle tickets may be purchased for $10 at the chamber office, located at 11734 Barker Cypress Road, in Cypress, and at member businesses throughout Cy-Fair.
Sponsorships offer exposure not only to tournament participants but to more than 1,300 chamber members through email and web marketing campaigns. Prices range from $500 to $7,500.
Attendees do not have to participate in the tournament to join the dinner and raffle, which costs $25. To become a sponsor or to reserve a spot at the dinner, call 281-373-1390 or visit cyfairchamber.com.
Some of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Adam Skinner Memorial Scholarship of the Cy-Fair Educational Foundation. Skinner was a 12-year-old Cy-Fair youth who died in a traffic accident in 1999. Since the scholarship was established, the chamber has contributed more than $74,000 toward scholarship funds.
