Kickoff Classic golf tournament to tee off Aug. 11
The 6th Annual Kickoff Classic golf tournament will take place on Saturday, Aug. 11 at Longwood Golf Club.
The tournament follows a four-man scramble format with trophies given to the three lowest scoring teams. Other contests include the long drive, closest to the pin and a putting challenge. Players of all ages and skills are welcome to participate.
All proceeds from the Kickoff Classic go to benefit the Cy-Fair Sports Association football program, the largest youth football program in the state of Texas.
The entry fee is $125 per player, or $500 for a team of four, if registered before Friday, Aug. 3. Fees after Aug. 3 are $150 per player or $600 for a team. The fee covers range balls, greens fee, a cart and dinner.
A silent auction and raffle will also take place. Donations are being accepted for the silent auction, and auction participants do not need to play in the tournament.
Registration begins at noon with a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m.
Longwood Golf Club is located at 13300 Longwood Trace Drive in Cypress.
