CFEF seeking table sponsors for Salute to the Stars Gala Oct. 18

The Cy-Fair Educational Foundation needs sponsors for its 15th annual Salute to the Stars Gala on Thursday, Oct. 18.

The event recognizes the Cy-Fair Independent School District's Spotlight Teachers for 2011-2012. Funds received through the gala go to development grants and qualified students advancing to higher education opportunities.

Last year's gala raised more than $152,000, with a total of $1.6 million raised since the first event in 1998. Organizers expect at least 800 people in attendance for the 2012 event.

Sponsorships remain available for the Oscar Table with a $5,000 donation, the MGM Studios Table for $3,000, the Columbia Studios Table for $2,000, the Paramount Studios Table for $1,500, the Fox Studios Table for $1,250, Printing for $2,500 and Foundation Star for $500.

The Salute to the Stars Gala is a black-tie affair. It will be held on Thursday, Oct. 18 at the Berry Center, 8877 Barker Cypress Road.
