Cy-Fair Storm to hold softball tryouts

The Cy-Fair Storm softball team will hold its under-10 tryouts next week at Dyess Park.

Tryout times are 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 17 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 18 at Field 6. Dyess Park is located at 16822 Kitzman Road in Cypress.

Onsite registration will be held from 6:30-9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9; 9:30-9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5; and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8. Teams will be selected around Friday, Sept. 14 and the season begins Saturday, Sept. 29.

Registration fees are $60 for blast ball, $70 for T-ball and $85 for pixie, ponytail, freshmen and sophomore, and junior and senior divisions. A $5 fee applies if registering online. Additional players in the family cost $70 with the exception of $55 for T-ball and $45 for blast ball if the second player is participating in blast ball.

Cy-Fair Storm is part of the Cy-Fair Girls Athletic Association.
