Houston Family Arts Center announces 'Crazy for You' auditions

The Houston Family Arts Center will hold auditions on Saturday, Aug. 25 for its production of "Crazy for You".

The musical features classic Gershwin numbers like "I Got Rhythm" and "Embraceable You" and will take the HFAC Garza Main Stage on weekends from Nov. 2-25.

The cast features 25 separate roles, available for actors and singers ages 16-65, including: Bobby Child, baritone, age 25-35; Polly Baker, soprano/mezzo, age 20-30; Lottie Child, age 45-65; Irene Roth, mezzo, age 25-35; Lank Hawkins, baritone or bass, age 30-46; Bela Zangler, baritone, age 35-55; and Everett Baker, baritone 45-65.

Auditions will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Houston Family Arts Center, 10760 Grant Road. Actors should memorize a one-minute comedic selection and a vocal selection of 16-32 measures.

Callbacks will be announced on the HFAC website on Sunday, Aug. 26.
